How to deposit and withdraw in Vietnam
The right order is to choose the rail first and the venue second. A low fee is worth nothing if the money cannot get in.
Rails that work
- P2P với người bán trong nước — The main route in Vietnam. The spread runs roughly 0.3–0.8% against the market rate, and that spread is the real fee — not the percentage the venue publishes.
Conditional rails
- Ví MoMo / ZaloPay — Available on some venues only, through P2P intermediaries, with low limits.
- Thẻ Visa / Mastercard — Works, but at 1.8–3.5% it is the most expensive route.
- Rút về ngân hàng Việt — Via P2P. Real timing depends on the counterparty, not the venue.
Rails that do not work
- Chuyển khoản ngân hàng nội địa (VND) — Vietcombank and Techcombank block direct transfers to exchanges. Another route is needed.
Check three things before funding
- Whether the venue is lawful in Vietnam — see the access map.
- Whether your rail actually works, and what it really costs.
- How the money comes back out — most people only check the way in.
