How to deposit and withdraw in Indonesia
The right order is to choose the rail first and the venue second. A low fee is worth nothing if the money cannot get in.
Rails that work
- Chuyển khoản ngân hàng (BCA, Mandiri, BRI) — Direct transfers work on OJK-licensed venues. Not on offshore ones.
Conditional rails
- DANA / OVO / GoPay — Present on domestic venues, largely absent offshore.
- QRIS — Expanding; needs re-testing each quarter.
- P2P — Thinner liquidity than Vietnam or the Philippines.
Check three things before funding
- Whether the venue is lawful in Indonesia — see the access map.
- Whether your rail actually works, and what it really costs.
- How the money comes back out — most people only check the way in.
